The Kvam series is based on a play with geometry, guided by the possibilities and limitations of the jacquard weave. The motif clearly relates to the horizontal and vertical directions of the fabric, while the diagonal lines create rhythm and dynamism. The pattern gives associations to both Norwegian and Japanese motifs.
