The Eikund Oma Dining Table – Static, designed by Sigurd Resell in 1957, is a refined example of Norwegian mid-century design, combining precise construction with a warm, organic aesthetic. Part of a dining table series developed in the mid-1950s, the Oma collection reflects Resell’s belief that form should follow function.

Resell graduated from the National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in 1947 and designed the Oma while working at the pioneering Norwegian furniture and interior design company Rastad & Relling Tegnekontor in Oslo. His approach is evident in the table’s clearly defined construction, where every element is carefully balanced between practicality and visual expression.

The Oma Dining Table features a beautifully proportioned tabletop with a crisp, refined profile, available in either solid wood or Fenix laminate. This contrasts with the softer, organically shaped solid-wood framework beneath, creating a harmonious combination of sharp modern aesthetics and natural warmth.

The Static version offers a clean, uninterrupted tabletop supported by a carefully considered wooden framework. The Oma family also includes an extendable version designed to accommodate up to two leaves without requiring additional supporting legs, preserving the table's elegant and uncluttered appearance.
